Macrotrachela timida Milne, 1916
Macrotrachela cf timida; whirling, dorsoventral view. Optical median section; focus plane on the interspace between the trochal columns. The angle between the planes of the trochal discs is approx. 180 degrees. (1)

Macrotrachela cf timida; another specimen; especially when creeping / whirling unaffected by coverslide (this specimen was photographed in a drop with semispherical shape so it is unsharp) the (mostly swollen) rump is separated from the trunk (is it this what Milne describes as "crinoline"?)

Macrotrachela cf timida; another specimen; head with lobe on upper lip.

Macrotrachela cf timida; anterior part of a creeping specimen. Upper left: focus plane on the retracted trochal discs, brain and mastax; several fibers ( ?? muscles?? / ??nerves?? / ??ducts of the RCO??)run from the rostrum to the brain area.. Upper right: focus plane on the rostrum lamella. Lower images (rigt image: crop of the left): focus plane on the rostral cilia and ?? ducts/ exits of the RCO??.

Macrotrachela cf timida; foot: spurs with interspace and three toes.
